Gourmet Test Kitchen Bakes Cupcakes/Kitchen Not as Glamorous as Previously Thought

I came across this really great video that Gourmet had on its website called Cupcakes 101. I'm sure you get the premise: the basics of cupcake baking.

Whether you've never baked a cupcake in your life or if you continue to suffer the rise and eventual fall of your cupcake experiments, then subsequently blog/lament over why, oh why that could have happened to you...again, this is a really helpful video.




On a side note, can I just gloss on how completely-opposite-of-glamorous the test kitchen in this video is? What is this, amateur hour?? Who do they think they are...me?? Where's the granite countertop, the stainless steel refrigerator, the flattering lighting, for crying out loud?? What, did they take over their lowly associate editor's studio apartment kitchen in some hazing effort?? Gordon Ramsay would not be pleased. Not pleased, at all.

Let's blame it on the recession. It's the only way I can cope with this.
