HIWWI: Pleated Bust Jumpsuit

{ASOS jumpsuit, $86.98}

Well, it's wedding season, which means it's time to buy a new dress for every one of the 7 weddings you're attending over the next three months. Or, you could buy this jumpsuit and call it a day. Which brings me to my first question: is it okay to wear a jumpsuit to a wedding? I mean, gone are the days of fashion rules at weddings (I'm sorry, black is okay now?? And I would be lying to you if I said I DIDN'T see someone wear cream to a wedding recently...), so what's to say you couldn't sport a grown up lady onesie at your next wedding? I dunno, I just bought this jumpsuit, and I'm giving some serious thought to wearing it to my friend Laura's wedding at the end of June. But not before I top it with this pearl-button blazer:
{ASOS blazer, $95.67}
And these nude and lucite heels:

{Zara heel, $129}

And since this is a joyous occasion, you might as well wear some jewelry in the shape of a woodland creature. I vote for these stoned owl earrings:
{ASOS Earrings, $17.40}

Since this is a wedding, it's imperative you polish up your hooves. It's true what they say about a woman with an unpolished finger: she's a dirty, dirty tramp. So don't fall victim to that stereotype, you guys:

Help me out Cupcult...how do we feel about jumpsuits at weddings? Appropriate or totally wrong? What about other fashion statements, like black or (shudder) pantyhose?!

i feel like jumpsuits really depend on whose wedding youre attending. if someone wore one to mine, i'd be like "hi. nice...jumpsuit", but i wouldn't like hate them for it.

the black thing i think is out of the picture now. as long as it's not like the MOB or MOG wearing it to totally get a last dig in, like they're morning that they're losing their kid, i think it's fine.

cream/white, on the other hand? i'd slap a ho.

I think the way you're styling this definitely would be appropriate for a wedding. You could wear that to mine, but I've been married three years. lol.

I say yes because that particular jumpsuit is classy as phuck. I think the rules of the jumpsuit to a wedding are: Fitted. Appropriate. Solid. Bold color. (Just apply the same rules you would to a dress you'd wear to a wedding). Just ask yourself, are you feeling good about dancing in that all night?

Oooooh I love. Please wear it! It's so pretty and I'm the bride so I say rock that jumpsuit! :) You will start a new trend girl, you will see. People don't dare do things differently unless they see it on someone else. Plus, if it's a windy evening you won't have to worry about your dress flying up on you and showing off your goodies. ;)
Um..ohmygod I'm getting married in a month. ahhh!!!

You can totally wear that jumpsuit to my wedding, if you'd like. On that day that I get married. Also, you could buy me those owl earrings as a wedding gift! We would all be so happy.

I'm not a jumpsuit fan - maybe just because I'm a shortie but, I think with the blazer and adorbs earrings it could be really cute. So what the hey just wear it! ;)

Jumpsuits are easy dressing! Love it. That nail color is right up my alley too.

I say go for it...especially if you dress it up with those cute heels.

White and/or cream are just not okay. Why do people still not understand that?

I said wedding fancy, afternoon, ect....I feel like it depends on the type of wedding and how much of an 'in' you have with the bride and groom. I love what you said about an unpolished finger......but maybe not the owls?

I think it's totally dependent on the person rocking it. If you feel confident in it, go for it! I think this little outfit you've thrown together here is the bomb!

Never heard of the whole not wearing black to a wedding thing? I just bought a black dress for one on the 9th.. oops?

I think as long as it's dressed up a bit you can totally make it work for a wedding...you don't always have to wear a dress.

Abso-freaking-lutely!! You'll rock it & look fab. Besides, you totally have the brides permission above. Do it. Take pics. We'll want to see! And Tom Ford nail polish? I die.
