{Bliss Fabulips, $18}
I'm part of a subculture of people who once was obsessed with Carmex, uknowingly slathering salicylic acid (yes, the potent drying agent in acne medication) onto the gentle skin of my lips on the straight reg, y'all. Of course, this vicious cycle of drying my lips out, slathering on the soothing balm, thus further drying my lips out, created an addiction to all things lip balm to this very day. What I'm getting at is, if my lips are without some kind of balm, gloss, or lipstick for more than 15 minutes, they immediately feel chapped and flaky. Until recently, I was pretty much placing all my bets on my eos and La Mer lip balms, but now, there's a new sheriff in town, and it is this lip scrub.
It's a gentle sugar scrub, laced with jojoba seed oil, shea butter, and cocoa butter. Translation: it's basically a lip balm! After you wipe away the scrub, your lips are left feeling so soft and moisturized, you can practically skip the lip balm.
But if you paid $50 for one, why in the hell would you do that??
Anyone else using a lip-only exfoliant? What do you think about it?? What about my fellow Carmex abusers?? Should we get together and file a class action lawsuit for emotional and oral distress??

So I never gave into the Carmex trend, fortunately. But I have this horrible habit of biting the skin on my lip when I'm nervous. #tmi. It replaced nail biting in the early 2000s. Anyway, I discovered a lip exfoliant at Sephora called "Kiss Me" by Philosophy. It's my little night miracle.
I didn't know that about Carmex. scary. I have a jouer lip scrub that i LOVE. it's super fine, but really makes a difference overtime.
Have a great weekend lovely! Oh and I'm hosting my first giveaway today (starbucks and a subscription to glamour) I would love if if you stopped by!

I'm afraid I'm a Carmex addict too...I need to let that habit go. This lip scrub sounds like a good step forward in my recovery.
I love any blog post that uses the phrase "anal bleaching."
I was conned into buying Mint Julips lip scrub from the amazing salespeople at Lush. While I LOVE Lush with every fiber of my being, the lip scrub feels a bit unnecessary. It's sugary and messy, and it's meant to be scrubbed thoroughly and removed right away. They say you can just lick it away-- did I mention it's edible?-- but that grosses me out since it has your dead skin in it. It works though, but Bliss is such an amazing brand.
I love the YSL lip scrub. I used to be a carmex addict but have now switched to Blistex which is amazing
