Loafin' Around: Lemon Blueberry Yogurt Loaf

Remember when I talked about how I wanted to go on a proper picnic? Well, since then, I've been perpetually pinning picnic-worthy recipes like some kind of picnic-holic on Pintrest. (That, my friends, is alliteration. And this concludes the grammar part of our blog.)

Anyway, I want to make some kind of dessert with blueberries that can be eaten with your hands because blueberries are Kyle's favorite. Making a mess is also Kyle's favorite. So when I saw this recipe for Lemon Blueberry Yogurt loaf, I literally could NOT stop myself from giving it a test run, despite the fact that it's referred to as a "loaf."

It's a fairly tart cake, between the lemon and the berries, but there's plenty of sugar to counterbalance the pucker factor. I'm not sure this is the winner for the picnic (it's a bit sticky), but I'll make Kyle eat it anyway. That's how dating works: you force someone to do things they otherwise wouldn't. Ain't life grand?
