And why wouldn't I? With one flare of a nostril, your scent tells someone all they really need to know about you:
"Hi-sies!!! OMG, I like cheerleading and smelling like freshly baked cookies. Also, I just got my learner's permit. Who wants to go to the mall to buy more body splash?!!" --Warm Vanilla Sugar
"I know taste, and you don't have any." --Chanel no. 5
"I just wanna smell like a whore." --Lady Gaga's yet-to-be-released scent
No surprise then, that it's a hobby of mine to check out the fragrance section at Sephora on the reg. (Fun tip: did you know that they can make a custom sample of any scent you like?? Oh hellz yes, I just made your weekend plans for you!)
So color me surprised when I came across my latest fragrance obsession, Boyfriend by Kate Walsh. Yes, that Kate Walsh.
{The bottle is classically designed and printed with names of the various
lovers you can imagine you have. It is NOT pathetic.}
lovers you can imagine you have. It is NOT pathetic.}
Without getting into a conversation about celebrity fragrances, Kate Walsh actually had nothing to do with my love for the scent, although it doesn't hurt that she looks like a less attractive version of me:
I mean, it's really too bad for her.
What she does have working in her favor is the effing killer fragrance. Named 'Boyfriend' to arouse the sensation of your man's left-behind fragrance (and not the gaseous kind), it's a woody, musky fragrance with just enough jasmine and dark plum notes to ensure it is indeed for us (oh heyyyyyy ladies!!!). I've always been a fan of men's cologne, but unlike Kate Moss, I haven't been willing to forsake my girly perfumes for it. 'Boyfriend' gives me that cologne feel with a touch of femininity that will ensure a permanent place in my parfum collection.
AND, because I'm so excited about it, I'm giving one bottle away to a very lucky reader. To enter, all you have to do is 1.) follow this blog (which you can do on the right side), 2.) follow me on Twitter, and 3.) leave a comment telling me what your current favorite fragrance is.
I'll pick one winner at random next Thursday, May 12th at noon EST and announce the winner that evening. Good Luck and here's hoping y'all don't stink!!
Thanks for telling me about this! Even if you don't actually give it to me for free, I'm totally going to buy this. I love masculine-y feminine scents. My current fave is SJP's Lovely, which is, well, lovely.
ReplyDeleteAnge ou Demon Le Secret by Givenchy! I'm pretty sure you were with me when I bought it and I couldn't stop smelling myself....in a really good way.
ReplyDeleteMy fav fragrance right now is actually 2! I just bought the rollerball of both boyfriend and chloe which is a musky rose scent that is perfect for spring! Following ur blog and u on twitter!
ReplyDeleteMy current smell is Armani code! Would love to smell and have boyfriend all at the same time!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!! Im currently loving 'boyfriend', but i only have a little sample bottle.
ReplyDeletestay awesome :)
MY current favorite is "Boyfriend" By Kate Walsh... It's like that irreplaceable boyfriend that you can't leave home without. It's sexy, it's smooth and it brings the meow factor to that party! I love it, its a VERY grown and sexy fragrance...
ReplyDeleteLook at you. So fancy! My current/ not-so-current favorite scent is Stella by Stella McCartney. Very reliable, and the roll on stick is just the right amount to last before it starts smellin' all funky.
ReplyDeleteI'm all about choosing my perfume for the mood/occasion. I really love Dior Hypnotic Poison, but only for special, nighttime occasions. For daytime, I like Marc Jacobs Daisy for casual days and Chanel Chance for days when I have something important to attend for work!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of this perfume-- some of my favorite Yankee Candles smell like boy (even though that's not what they say on the label!).
my current scent is old spice deoderant!
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with several Bond No. 9 fragrances..anything they make smells delicious and unlike anything you can get at chain stores. Currently, my favorites are Madison Square Park, Scent of Peace and Bond No 9.
ReplyDeleteLess expensive perfumes in the line up..Michael Kors Hollywood and DG 1 Le Bateleur
Omg, I'm dying to win this! I love Kate Walsh and the idea of this perfume (and hey! maybe I can share it with my husband!!).
ReplyDeleteMy favorite perfume... it's a toss up between Le Labo Iris 39 and Week-end a Deauville. Both are great!
Right now, my favorite fragrance is Marc Jacobs's Bang, but mainly because my wife likes it so much ;)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite fragrance is Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel. Sexy and elegant.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite fragrance is Cool Water. I've used it for the past 7 years and I'm ready for a change but I'm a little nervous.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are Daisy and Boyfriend.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite scent is by Calvin Klein and it's called Truth. Not only it's a fabulous sensual and fresh fragrance but it identifies my personality perfectly as modern, emotional, passionate and strong.

My favorite fragrance is Chanel No. 5! What can be said that hasn't been said? It's a classic. It could go just about anywhere, any time of the day or night. I love it! I just noticed, Boyfriend has a similarity with the Chanel No.5 bottle. I want to smell the fragrance of Boyfriend.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe this is Kate's scent! I picked it up a few weeks ago at Sephora in the roller form because I love the smell of a perfume that almost makes me smell like I've been spending a little too much time hanging around my man. Love, love, love this scent and love it even more now that I know it's hers.
